3 YouTube Apps You Did Not Know About

1. YouTube KIDS
In a quick conversation I had with a colleague this past Saturday, I realized there are still so many (justified) fears about YouTube. I know these fears are substantiated. I relate to this when I lend my smart phone to my children and all of a sudden they are watching a Minecraft video on YouTube. Apparently, our district took away from students the privilege of using YouTube with students' accounts. I agree with him, YouTube might have many videos that are not appropriate for our children but by the same token, there are as many videos or maybe more that enrich our classroom and our students' lives everyday.
The good news is (drums please....) YouTube is aware of the importance of keeping our children safe and created this great app!
This is NOT a website, it is a FREE app for iOS or Android devices. This app was just released in February 2015. This app filters out comments and videos with inappropriate content. You can read more about it here
